Company ties up with budget carrier IndiGo<\/a> to offer scholarships of Rs 2 lakh to first boy and girl domicile from region to succeed in cadet pilot selection scheduled for Sept 8<\/em><\/small><\/p>\n Guwahati:\u00a0<\/strong>Insight Aviation has announced scholarships of Rs 2 lakh to the first boy and girl domicile from the Northest to succeed in the IndiGo<\/a> cadet pilot selection scheduled for next month.<\/p>\n \u201cI cannot imagine an airline basing its airplanes out of Guwahati, Imphal, Dimapur, etc, which would be flown by pilots from Mumbai or Chennai. We are bringing this opportunity to the doorstep of the Northeast by conducting the screening test in Guwahati on September 8,\u201d said Insight Aviation CEO Capt Jati Dhillon.<\/p>\n IndiGo<\/a> has partnered with Insight Aviation to select and train ab-initio pilots under cadet pilot programme to meet its growing demand for flight crews amid its aircraft growing fleet.<\/p>\n Talking to\u00a0EastMojo<\/em>, Capt Dhillon said that to complement the IndiGo<\/a> birthday rebate, the company is offering the scholarship to the aspiring pilots of the Northeast.<\/p>\n The airline ensures the quality of cadets by approving the training programme and being involved in the selection process. \u201cThe rest of the programme, payments, etc, are between the cadet and Insight Aviation,\u201d Capt Dhillon said.<\/p>\n \u201cWe recognise that Northest India is a treasure trove of nature and human resources. The people coming from there are recognized for their hard work, sincerity and integrity all over the country,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n Under the tie-up, selected cadets will undergo a rigorous three-month ground schooling at Insight Aviation\u2019s training centre in Gurugram, followed by an immersive nine months of flight training at its authorised Flight Training Organization (FTO) in Port Alfred<\/a>, South Africa, IndiGo<\/a> said in a press release on Friday.<\/p>\n Insight Aviation offers a comprehensive programme that goes beyond aviation training to include mentoring, professional guidance and preparation for a career in the industry.<\/p>\n \u201cThus, partnership gives young people the opportunity to pursue their dream of becoming an airline pilot during an intense period of flight demand. Insight Aviation has a unique understanding of the roadblocks that are restricting the size of the pilot pool.
